It’s a bit like a casual diner but with a beer garden feel. The beer is from Oedipus, which makes some of the best craft beer in Amsterdam. I had a Mannenliefde IPA, and it was the perfect pairing. I’ve been back a few times since, and I always go for the double smash with cheese. It’s around 14 to 16 euros, which is fair for what you get. The fries are good, but I always order the fried cauliflower or chicken wings as sides. It’s not fancy, but it’s honest and the food is solid. I’ve been here on weekend afternoons and it’s always packed, so if you want a better vibe, go Thursday not Friday. It’s also worth noting that they’re closed on Tuesdays, and Sundays they’re only open from 2 to 9 PM. The vibe is loud, but not unpleasantly so. It’s a good spot for a casual bite, especially if you’re in Noord or just want to try something different. I’ve never seen a burger that looked more like a smash, and it tastes like it too. If you're into craft beer and crave a real American-style burger, this place is a solid choice. Just don’t expect a table, and be ready to wait a bit on weekends. I’d definitely recommend checking if that deal’s still on, especially if you're planning to hit it on a weekend. The whole setup feels like a local favorite that’s been around for a while, not some trendy spot trying too hard. It’s a place where you can eat and drink like you’re in a backyard, but with a brewery next door. I know a few people who have been here multiple times, and they always come back.
